Hi gals, hope you have been enjoying your scrapping time!! I was so honored to be asked to be the February guest DT at Scraputante.com. This is a wonderful site that is just starting up and she is trying to really take into account the needs of scrappers worldwide. Please if you get a chance, hop on over and give a peek. Just been busy submitting my cards to magazines this month. No takers yet, but I hope someday it will happen!!!! I did go back and do some of my old favorite challenges this week, so there is always a hope that Icould make a top spot for one of those....like they always tell me "can't win, if you don't enter" which is really true, but sometimes it gets discouraging. I did however, receive some totally awesome news this week from my son, I am going to be a Grandma again in October. One in July(my DD) and one in October(myDS) and that will make 6!!!!! I have been in the delivery room with everyone of my DD's other 3 kids and it is just a heartwarming miracle to behold, such an amazing moment when they come into the world. Sure I will experience it this time again. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for stopping by, I truly appreciate it!!

Snow Day

We finally received a sizeable amount of snow...4inches. It has been such nice weather, we are all spoiled, but I love to create cards on a snowy, wintery day. I don't know what it is about those crummy days that really motivate me. Over the weekend, I was honored to be asked to teach a card class on color blocking. What a fun and very effective technique. We used some templates (I made)copics and stamps to create some lovely and quick cards. Every once in awhile it is always fun to go back to basics and re-try those beginning techniques we learned. I have been having a problem with my Spellbinders calibur cutting machine, well it broke last week and I had to send it back. I did not do my research very well, but after I purchased it, I found out that some of my sizzix dies. cannot be used with the calibur. Over the weekend, I decided to purchase the Sizzix Pro, Joanns, had it on sale and free shipping (on-line only)cannot wait to receive it, OMG...no die cutting or embossing for over a week has me stir crazy!!! I love Spellbinders dies and the new ones coming out at the CHA 2012 are gorgeous. They are also coming out with some new double sided embossing folders (pre-ordered all of them, I LOVE embossing)with rich, deep patterns, that I cannot wait to get my hands on. Always need new shapes also, new pretty rectangles, crosses and some doiley looking circles. Go into Scrapmart.com and they have the new items discounted 25%...can't beat that!!! Happy Tuesday

Good morning and welcome to my blog. I have been busy making Valentine's cards. I already did 40 of them and they sold out right away, so I just keep plugging along with them. Today, I made a tab card. It was very fun and easy. I found the tutorial on Card-Making-Magic.com. I have a very dear friend who loves sunflowers, so the next card was for her....hope she likes it!! Going with my daughter, tomorrow to the ultrasound of my #5 grandchild. My daughter is due July 21st. They do not want to know the sex of the baby, that is fine with me. She is high-risk, due to a blood disorder, so she has been seeing specialists right from the beginning. Hope you all have a wonderful, scrappy week. HAPPY 2012

OMG I really need to check in with my blog more often, so sorry it has been so long. Had a wonderful Christmas, lots of new scrapping goodies!!! Have a few new cards to download today. Just discovered some new die cuts from My Favorite Things, poppystamps and Memory Box. I have fallen in LOVE with the window die from poppystamps, it is so versatile and can be adapted to any season,the possibilities are endless. I will try to once a week, update my blog and show newly created cards for the 2012 year!! That is my new resolution and of course to lose some weight (LOL) Hope 2012 brings you peace and happiness and time for yourself to create and do whatever it is you love to do, because we ALL deserve that time for ourselfs....so just do it and I gurantee you will feel rejuvinated.
